Job Description: Reporting to the Director, Mental Health & Addictions Services, the incumbent will provide a full range of clinical mental health services to children and adolescents, and their families. Duties include intake, assessment and formulation of treatment plans, therapy with individuals, families and groups. Travel throughout the Health Region is required. Position is field hours and may involve evening and weekend shifts in order to meet client and program needs. "Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement"

Experience Clinical Experience in mental health setting Education Master of Social Work (MSW) Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) Memberships Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers (SASW) Competencies Basic - Verbal communication skills Basic - Writing skills Basic - Interpersonal skills Basic - Computer skills Basic - Conflict resolution skills Basic - Presentation skills Knowledge and Abilities Knowledge in harm reduction in Addictions Medicine Ability to enter and retrieve data in computer database systems Ability to prepare reports in a clear, concise and timely manner. Ability to respond under pressure. Knowledge in conflict resolution techniques Knowledge in applicable Acts Knowledge in various intervention strategies for individuals and groups Knowledge in various mental health and addiction and harm reduction strategies Ability to provide public education regarding children/youth mental health issues Knowledge in community resources and services in the clinical area Ability to work and communicate in a cross cultural setting Knowledge of community programs/services Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently Knowledge in recovery philosophy Ability to identify, implement and evaluate areas of client difficulty.
