This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Pre-Sales Engineer in North America.
This role offers the opportunity to serve as a key technical advisor in delivering innovative backup and data protection solutions. You will collaborate closely with account managers, partners, and customers to understand technical requirements, design tailored solutions, and present compelling product demonstrations. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic, customer-facing environment, translating complex technical concepts into actionable business solutions. This position allows for remote work across the United States, with occasional travel to engage with clients and partners. You will contribute to solution design, support proof-of-concepts, and provide feedback that influences product development, while staying current on industry trends and emerging technologies.
Accountabilities
· Act as the primary technical advisor during the pre-sales process for customers and partners.
· Gather and analyze customer business and technical requirements to design effective backup and disaster recovery solutions.
· Deliver high-impact product demonstrations and technical presentations tailored to customer needs.
· Support proof-of-concept (PoC) and product evaluation activities.
· Respond to RFPs, RFIs, and other technical documentation requests.
· Collaborate with Sales, Product Management, and Support teams to provide customer feedback and influence product direction.
· Train and enable partners on backup and recovery solutions.
· Stay up to date on industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies.
Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
· 3–5 years of experience in technical pre-sales, solution architecture, or systems engineering, preferably in data protection or cybersecurity.
· Strong knowledge of backup, disaster recovery, storage, and virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V, Microsoft 365, cloud solutions).
· Experience with backup software solutions such as Arcserve, Veeam, Veritas, or Acronis.
· Excellent ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
· Strong presentation, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
· Preferred: experience supporting Latin American customers or partners, familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), and certifications such as VMCE or cloud provider certifications.
