Job Description Senior Technology Specialist OBJECTIVE / PURPOSE Takeda seeks a Senior Technology Specialist with strong technical expertise, ideally in Pharmaceuticals or Life Sciences. This role blends business/system analysis, process improvement, and project management with hands-on experience in Microsoft Power Platform, web design, and analytics. The Specialist will help integrate AI and automation tools to enhance workflows, user experience, and operational excellence. SCOPE Leadership/People: No direct reports Geographic Scope: Canada ACCOUNTABILITIES Acts as technical support for cross-functional teams, accelerating Takeda’s data and digital delivery excellence capabilities. Champions adoption of emerging technologies, including AI-powered tools, to boost efficiency and digital maturity. TECHNICAL / FUNCTIONAL EXPERTISE Provides technical support with website management, TakedaConnect, mobile apps, and event management, e.g. SpotMe. Supports process simplification and automation, including PowerAutomate and other workflow tools Supports process mapping and system integration to improve compliance and usability. Assists with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, marketing automation and other digital initiatives. Identifies opportunities to apply AI/machine learning to optimize campaigns, automate reporting, and personalize experiences. Creates templates and documentation for scalable solutions. EDUCATION, COMPETENCIES & SKILLS Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of IT/technical experience in Pharma/Life Sciences. Proven skills in system analysis, technical solution design, and business translation. Strong proficiency in: - Drupal CMS, Veeva Vault, PromoMats - Matomo, Google Analytics - Salesforce Marketing Cloud - Microsoft Power Platform, and/or tools such as UiPath, BluePrism CRM experience (Salesforce, Veeva CRM) is a plus Experience in process improvement automation, and digital transformation. Effective communicator with strong collaboration and project management skills. Understanding of AI and machine learning principles and their application in digital marketing and process automation. In-depth understanding of AI ethics and governance to ensure responsible implementation. Enhanced cybersecurity knowledge to protect digital assets in an increasingly automated environment Fluent in English; French is an asset.
