Position Summary:
Under the direction and guidance of the Director, Human Resources, this position is responsible for delivering HR services to the site, including supporting talent mobility, coordinating employee requests and changes, onboarding and training, as well as providing administrative and general Human Resources support. Contributing to a safe and welcoming work environment for all employees and ensuring adherence to all policies and procedures. The Coordinator, Human Resources ensures adherence to the Company’s policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example, and supports Great Canadian’s learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.
Key Accountabilities:
Provide team member support on site as the first point of contact in the Human Resources office, offering efficient and accurate support and guidance to team member queries.
Maintain employee records and files, including collecting and processing paperwork for new hires, transfers, and promotions
Enters and maintains respective site HRIS duties; new team member entries, current team member changes, compliance tracking, and running reports
Processes HR paperwork and maintains site files
Support team members in benefit, pension, and Total Reward administration and queries.
Runs workforce analytics reports through Oracle
Processes voluntary terminations and Performance Improvement / Skills Improvement Reports
Facilitate onsite new hire Orientation sessions
Creates and compiles content for engagement initiatives
Maintains lists of regulatory requirements and work with departments to ensure compliance
Responds to employment verification requests
Prepares internal correspondence and communications as directed
Communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments
Complies with licensing laws, health and safety, and other statutory regulations
Provides coverage for other members of the HR team when required
Other duties as assigned
Education and Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of HR experience or 3 years of administrative support experience
Post-secondary education in HR or a suitable combination of education and relevant experience
CPHR or other HR Designation is considered an asset
Ability to exceed internal and external guest expectations through timely, effective, and service-oriented communication
Computer literacy in MS Office and Oracle considered an asset
