The Role:
Our Retail team is looking for a Assistant Manager to support our stores across the Greater Vancouver Area! This role is ideal for a passionate retail leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is excited to support different store teams over time.
The Assistant Manager, Vancouver Market will be assigned to one store at a time for extended periods, stepping in to provide leadership coverage, operational support, and team development where it is needed most. When business needs arise, you may be temporarily assigned to another store in the region.
You’ll partner closely with Store Managers and District Leadership to elevate performance, strengthen store operations, and deliver the signature JD experience across various locations.
Access to a personal vehicle and a valid driver’s license is required.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
Provide leadership coverage and operational support at the store you are assigned to for an extended period.
Step in to support other stores in the region as needed, based on business priorities and District Leadership direction.
Ensure the team delivers an excellent customer experience through strong floor presence, coaching, and real-time feedback.
Partner with Store Managers to drive sales performance, improve KPIs, and uphold JD brand standards.
Maintain high levels of product knowledge to support customers and educate store teams.
Support in developing and training sales associates and future leaders across stores.
Help maintain merchandising, visual, and operational execution to JD standards.
Build strong relationships with store teams to foster an inclusive, people-first culture.
Assist with staffing support, onboarding, and performance development when needed.
Provide proactive solutions to improve store efficiency and customer experience.
Serve as a key point of connection between stores, store leadership, and district teams.
Support ad-hoc tasks and operational needs across your assigned store and others when required.

Act as a brand ambassador and consistently deliver outrageous experiences to our community.
Skills/Experience/Knowledge Needed:
Minimum 2 years of retail leadership experience, preferably at the Assistant Manager level or higher.
Passionate and knowledgeable about streetwear, sneaker culture, and the JD brand.
Experience supervising, training, and coaching store teams.
Comfortable engaging customers and driving elevated experiences.
Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills.
Ability to adapt quickly in a rapidly changing, multi-store retail environment.
Highly organized, resourceful, and capable of managing shifting priorities.
Strong ethics, integrity, and commitment to building positive team culture.
Flexible availability — including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Valid driver’s license and reliable access to a vehicle.
