The team drives hands-on experimentation that deepens our understanding of new opportunities and potential disruptions, grows CIBC’s culture and community of innovation, and works with partners across the bank to pursue and deliver new value. As the Sr. Consultant, Design & Delivery, Enterprise Innovation, you will report to the Director of Enterprise Innovation. You will be responsible for working in an agile environment focused on ideation and design while helping to deliver proof of concepts and experimentation that uncover new innovation-driven opportunities and deliver tangible value across the enterprise. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote. How You’ll Succeed New Opportunity Exploration: Use the human-centered Design Thinking method to lead exploration of innovative ideas and facilitate co-creation workshops with stakeholders. Synthesize information (data, research, and insights) into concise communication artifacts (customer journey maps, personas, storyboards), as well as user stories, business requirements, and functional requirements. Where appropriate help size opportunities and develop cost-benefit analyses to support business cases alongside your leader. Design and Rapid Prototyping: Frame problem statements, craft hypotheses, and build interactive prototypes to validate concepts quickly for experiments and proof of concepts. Translate strategy into end-to-end UX/UI deliverables. Create user flows, wireframes, and interactions in Figma aligned with the enterprise design system and brand standards. Design and conduct primary user research and usability testing for prototypes, then synthesize insights into actionable recommendations to de-risk proof of concepts. Executive Storytelling – The ability to convey complex ideas clearly and compellingly, while engaging a diverse audience. You will need to possess strong deck-building and presentation skills, creativity, and strategic thinking to inspire stakeholders and showcase the value of proof of concepts align with organizational goals. Ensure organizational risks and opportunities are identified and raised for consideration in the analysis, assessment and formulation of projects and initiatives. Delivery Leadership: Work with a multidisciplinary technical team in an agile environment, fostering a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement. Oversee key aspects of technical build and delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and business-aligned. Provide strategic guidance and direction to the development team on solution design and deployment. Collaboration / Relationship Building – You will develop and maintain ongoing relationships with the internal POD consisting of Developers, Designers, Consultants and partners across the Enterprise, working collaboratively to deliver on various initiatives. Forge and strengthen relationships with key external partners in the innovation ecosystem, including Fintech to source and activate capabilities that advance the bank’s strategic objectives. Who You Are Experience: 5+ years working in multidisciplinary technical teams in an agile environment, developing products and services in digital, technology, or similar innovation domains. Demonstrated experience in UX/UI design, with a portfolio demonstrating rapid experimentation, accessibility, and inclusive design in product-development environments. Expertise in Frameworks and Tools: Knowledge of agile methodologies , Design Thinking, and User Research/Usability testing. Expert in Figma and other prototyping tools, creating low- to high-fidelity UI; experience working within and evolving design systems. Extensive experience with Microsoft products and proficiency in Jira, Confluence, and other agile collaboration tools. Strategic Thinker and Planner: Provide long-term vision and guidance, ensuring that the team’s technical solutions are aligned with business objectives and future needs. Experienced in building detailed, adaptable plans that balance guidance with flexibility, and in communicating progress, milestones, and blockers to executive audiences. Business-Oriented Technical Leader: Experience leading technical teams with a strong focus on business outcomes, ensuring that technical delivery is closely aligned with overall organizational goals. Metrics and Outcome Driven: Set KPIs and OKRs, and drive a culture of continuous improvement. Define acceptance criteria and what success looks like. Measure benefits realization and report on project progress and success to the management.
