Our client, a dynamic public practice accounting firm in Kelowna, BC, is on the lookout for a skilled Senior Accountant with three to five years of experience to join their expanding team. As the firm has grown significantly in recent years, they now support a diverse range of clients across industries including professional services, manufacturing, construction, restaurants, retail, automotive, and agriculture.
For this position, responsibilities will vary but will include:
Preparation of compilation and review engagements;
Preparation of corporate, personal and trust tax returns;
In some cases, conducting full-cycle bookkeeping including preparation of GST, PST, WCB returns; and
Working closely with the team to assist clients with their accounting and tax planning needs.

Your strong communication skills and commitment to operational excellence will be crucial to your success in this role. This position is full-time; however, we are open to considering candidates who initially require flexible hours, with the potential to transition to a full-time schedule over time.
Requirements
3 or more years of accounting experience including preparation of compilation engagements, corporate and personal tax returns;
Experience in review engagements is not necessarily required but it would be considered an asset.
Accounting diploma and/or a combination of education and experience will be considered; a professional accounting designation is not required;
Proficiency in accounting software and tools such as Sage, QuickBooks, CaseWare and Profile or other tax software;
Strong computer literacy including MS Office Suite; exceptional Excel skills;
Excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities;
The ability to handle data with confidentiality and integrity;
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively;
Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and analytical thinking, with a positive disposition;
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment;
Strong interpersonal and multitasking skills.
In addition to a robust benefits package, the base salary for this position is anticipated to be $68,000 - $78,000 annually and will be determined based on experience and qualifications.
