Meaningful work you’ll be part of
As a Finance Data Architect, Manager, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve business issues, deliver high quality client service and operational efficiency.
Working with clients and data engineering teams to help clients establish information models designed to support finance across multiple domains including statutory, regulatory, treasury and planning, budgeting and forecasting (PB&F). Be a part of the trend of integration between modern ERP and EPM toolsets and hyper scalar platforms like Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud Platform.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Engagement Delivery
Work and lead on engagements with multidisciplinary teams, primarily focused on leading/supporting ERP implementations
Serve key resource to bring technology and Finance processes together during ERP system implementations
Finance transformation (including within an ERP or Planning and Budgeting tool implementation)
Conduct organizational diagnostics across all finance processes
Conduct analyses in support of improvement initiatives (e.g. costing, cost-benefit, benchmarking)
Analyse financial and operational data
Establish credibility with existing and new clients by demonstrating subject matter expertise and knowledge in finance, strategy and EPM
Vendor and software selection (including business requirements gathering)
Engagement Management
Support the engagement director / partner in managing engagement risk and project economics
Work to define and manage scope and objectives
Develop and foster relationships with client leaders and stakeholders
Identify, monitor and help resolve project issues and risks
Coach and train junior team members on technical and project management aspects of engagement
Prepare deliverable content
Review and ensure engagement deliverables meet PwC and client quality expectations
Business Development
Participate in aspects of the proposal development process
Proposal writing and collaboration
Team with PwC colleagues in other lines of services in support of client needs for Finance Consulting services
Support the development of "thought leadership" and "point-of-view" documents
People Development
Share knowledge across the global PwC network
Provide input and guidance into the firm’s staffing/resource management process
Actively participate in staff recruitment and retention activities
Coach others, recognize their strengths, and encourage them to take ownership of their personal development
Experiences and skills you’ll use to solve
7-12 years of professional experience (a combination of industry, management consulting and/or software implementation)
Experience working in financial services industries (banking, insurance and / or asset & wealth management)
Experience managing complex projects within a professional services environment and a global delivery model is ideal
Experience in handling and building financial data models (or finance information models) to support finance and risk data
Understand dimensional data modeling. Can design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure data models align with business rules and data governance standards
Understanding of enterprise cloud platforms AWS, GCP or MS Azure capabilities relating to data staging, normalization and transformation
Experience in interfacing modern ERP (SAP S4/Hana, Workday Financials, Oracle FSDF or AFCS. Microsoft F&O) and / or EPM (OneStream, Anaplan, Adaptive) tools with enterprise cloud platforms
In addition, the candidate(s) must have experience in one or more of the following fields:
Understanding of the core Finance areas
Experience leading both external and internal teams on medium or large-scale finance transformations
High level of client service orientation such as building solid relationships with clients and vendors; approaching clients and vendors in an organized manner, demonstrating flexibility in prioritizing and completing tasks
Excellent team player with strong leadership skills and an understanding of personal and team roles; contributing to a positive work environment and proactively seeking guidance and feedback
Superior project management skills
Excellent communication skills – oral, written, presentation
Strong problem-solving orientation and analytical skills.

The position requires regular communication with clients and stakeholders located outside Québec, primarily in English.
