The Care Company is seeking a skilled and Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) with strong home and community care experience to join our growing team. This position is ideal for OTA'swho value flexibility, autonomy, and meaningful client relationships within a community-based model. Please note, this position will require in-person home visits with vulnerable community members.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist registered Occupational Therapists (OTs) with implementation of home-based treatment plans, under supervision.
Support clients with exercises, functional training, ADL/IADL retraining, adaptive equipment use, and safety strategies in their homes.
Provide client and caregiver education (under OT supervision) on safe use of mobility aids, home safety, energy conservation, and adaptive techniques.
Assist with documentation of client progress, observations, and follow-up notes (under oversight of supervising OT).
Help with equipment set-up, basic home modifications (non-clinical), and follow-up support once equipment is ordered by the supervising OT.
Travel between client residences across the GTA and maintain flexibility in scheduling as needed.
Scheduling:
Flexible part-time schedule, mainly Monday-Friday, with occasional Saturday/Sunday availability required, based on client need
Clients are located within Central Toronto and the GTA(may include Midtown, Downtown, North/East/West end, Richmond Hill, Newmarket, Markham, Vaughan, Pickering, Ajax, and Oshawa).
Ability to manage scheduling independently and communicate promptly with the office regarding availability
Travel between client homes required; access to a reliable vehicle is an asset.
Qualification and Experience Requirements:
Certificate or diploma in Occupational Therapy Assistance (or equivalent recognized OTA training program)
Previous experience in home or community care is strongly preferred (e.g., home care agencies, community rehab, discharge follow-up)
Good communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable working in clients’ homes and with diverse populations (geriatrics, chronic illness, post-acute discharge, counselling caregivers)
Reliable transportation to travel across the GTA (car or reliable transit)
Flexibility in scheduling, willingness to travel, and responsiveness to scheduling changes or urgent visit needs
Ability to follow OT-directed treatment plans and work under supervision
Compensation:
$28-$30/hour
