We provide accessible, quality, culturally safe and holistic health care that supports and enhances the wellness of individuals, families, and communities. We work with our 11 First Nation community partners in the provision of primary health care, traditional healing, mental wellness and addictions, home and community support services and health promotion services. We have recently been approved as the first Indigenous Lead Ontario Health Team by the Ministry of Health.
The opportunity: Under the direction of the Chief Executive Officer through the Corporate Services Director, the Technical Support Advisor is responsible for providing technical, analytical and advisory support to the health program in the areas of telecommunications, technology, maintenance and information technology. Secondary responsibilities include networking with office computer services and responding to technical queries specific to regional computer equipment location at all seven (7) First Nations and IFC partner sites including the four (4) First Nation sites in Wawa/Chapleau.
What you need to bring with you:
Post-secondary degree or diploma in computer science or information technology or health administration/science with complementing courses in computer programming, design, and application.
Certification in A+, Networks+ and Microsoft Certified Professional would be preferred.
Three to five years’ experience in developing, configuring and maintaining Information Technology Infrastructure and Information management systems including networked systems and remote communications, database management and programming abilities and/or knowledge of electronic medical records.
Knowledge of trends and issues in IT infrastructure, Broadband access and related IT products and services.
Strong knowledge of website development and maintenance.
Experience with inventory management systems.
Experience with information management systems and the collection and analysis of statistical data.
Knowledge of, and experience with setting up and troubleshooting of hardware (laptops, video conferencing systems, mobile phones, etc.)

Strong knowledge and proficiency in the use of computers and various database programs including Access/SQL, MS Office software, Sage AccPacc software, Netowrk and other software.
A clear criminal reference check is a condition of employment
Must have possess a valid driver’s license and have access to a reliable vehicle
