About the Role
The QC Inspector is a positive, reliable, solution-oriented team player. Able to manage multiple activities and pivot quickly to other priorities, the QC Inspector will ensure that all Steelhaus product meets all engineering requirements. Note: Welding inspection experience does not apply.
Position Details
Status: Full-Time
Shift: Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm
Location: Calgary AB (NE Area)
Duties and Responsibilities
Perform first-off, in-process, and final dimensional inspection of machined components using calibrated tooling including micrometers, calipers, MRPs and hard gauges.
Calibrate tools using high precision reference standards.
Monitor, evaluate and re-calibrate tooling that has expired calibration.
Initiate Nonconformance Reports where requirements are not met.
Knowledge and Experience
Able to read and understand part drawings and a general knowledge of GD&T
2+ years of quality inspection experience in a machine shop (welding inspection experience does not apply).
Experience using a variety of hand inspection tools
Experience with specialized instruments such as Surface Finish Gauge, Wall Thickness Gauge, CMM is considered an asset
Basic computer skills (MS Office)
Familiarity with ISO9001 and API Q1 10th Quality Systems is an asset

Demonstrated ability to function successfully in a fast paced, changing work environment with multiple priorities.
Demonstrated ability to follow Technical Instructions and complete Forms in compliance product requirements.
Demonstrated team player with a positive attitude.
High level of attention to detail.
Physically fit and able lift medium loads (25lbs or less) , stand for prolonged periods, bend, and twist.
Must be able to effectively read, write, and speak English
