Job Description What is the opportunity? We are seeking a skilled and analytical Governance and Control Analyst to play a key role in the development and implementation of governance initiatives, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and managing audit processes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in financial accounting, general ledger reconciliation and data analysis. *Please note this is a 12 month fixed-term secondment. What Will You Do? Assist in managing and coordinating internal and external audit/SOX processes, including preparation, data collection, and documentation. Support the development and maintenance of SOX packages, including the key controls inventory, process maps, and IT dependencies. Establish control monitoring metrics and a data-driven control testing framework to measure control effectiveness and inform testing strategy. Identify, assess, and mitigate operational risks, and innovate strategies to strengthen risk monitoring and governance. Provide development advice on the design of new controls to adequately address identified risks. Support governance and control projects as assigned. What Do You Need to Succeed? Must Have: 2 years of experience in Operational Risk or Audit-related capacity, with a focus on identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks related to financial reporting and internal controls Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive issues to conclusion and navigate complex data sets A curious and inquiring mindset, with a passion for leveraging data analytics and insights to inform decision-making A proactive and adaptable approach, with a strong sense of urgency and ability to manage multiple demands and competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment Nice-to-have Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Administration or other related field. Knowledge of General Ledger reconciliation processing and Enterprise GL Attestation Exposure to SOX control testing frameworks and processes Proficiency in Jira and Confluence, with experience in creating and managing projects and tasks What’s in it for you?
