Our client is undertaking a major modernization initiative focused on enhancing a large-scale justice technology ecosystem. They are seeking a Senior Enterprise Architect to provide strategic architectural leadership, define enterprise-level frameworks, and ensure alignment between business priorities and technology capabilities.
In this role, you will shape the long-term architecture vision, guide multiple transformation initiatives, and ensure that all systems and services are integrated, secure, cost-effective, and future-ready. This position requires strong leadership, deep technical insight, and an ability to collaborate across business and technical teams.
Tasks
Develop and maintain Enterprise Architecture (EA) frameworks to guide system, service, and infrastructure design.
Translate business strategy into technical architecture and ensure technology investments align with organizational goals.
Assess current-state architecture and define target-state architecture for applications, platforms, integrations, and infrastructure.
Lead and support large digital transformation programs, ensuring architectural integrity and direction.
Establish architecture standards, governance models, and best practices across teams.
Evaluate, recommend, and introduce new technologies that enhance performance, security, and cost efficiency.
Model business processes and capabilities, identifying opportunities for modernization.
Provide risk and security guidance to ensure compliance and long-term resilience.
Collaborate closely with solution architects and engineering teams, offering technical leadership throughout the delivery lifecycle.
Optimize costs and manage technical debt, ensuring sustainable long-term technology operations.
Requirements
Hybrid work model: minimum of three onsite days per week (typically Tuesday, Wednesday, and one additional scheduled day).
Work must be performed from within Alberta, due to data and network security requirements.
Travel or relocation expenses are not covered.
Onsite meetings may include strategic planning, architectural reviews, technical discussions, and collaboration with leadership and delivery teams.
Laptop or desktop equipment will be provided by the client.
