The Royal Alexandra Hospital Foundation (RAHF) is excited to grow our dynamic Communications & Creative team with the addition of a highly skilled Production & Brand Officer. This creative, detail-oriented role is critical in shaping the visual storytelling that brings our mission and the impact of health care in Alberta to life. Reporting to the Lead, Production & Brand, the Production & Brand Officer is responsible for producing engaging multimedia content, with a strong focus on graphic design, motion graphics, and video production. From concept development to final delivery, this role plays a pivotal part in elevating the Foundation’s creative output across all channels.
The Officer will also mentor and support the Graphic Design Associate, helping develop design skills, enhance motion graphics capabilities, and improve workflow efficiency. Working closely with the Lead, this position ensures all creative work aligns with brand standards, design direction, and the Foundation’s broader quality expectations.

Key Accountabilities
Post-Production
Edit assigned video projects from concept through final delivery, ensuring high-quality storytelling and visual consistency.
Design and integrate motion graphics including titles, animations, lower thirds, transitions, and infographics.
Collaborate closely with the Lead for review, feedback, revisions, and quality control.
Organize and maintain project files, templates, and reusable assets to support efficient workflows.
Production
Execute video shoots, including operating cameras, lighting, audio, and other production equipment.
Capture interviews, b-roll, and supplementary footage that align with project objectives and brand standards.
Ensure all captured content meets technical, creative, and brand-quality requirements.
Team Collaboration & Development
Support the Lead in ensuring brand consistency across all Foundation visual content.
Incorporate feedback and creative direction to refine design and production output.
Provide specialized design and motion graphics expertise on joint projects.
Contribute ideas related to emerging motion design trends, AI tools, and new media formats.
Mentor the Graphic Design Associate, focusing on growth in design principles, motion graphics, and workflow effectiveness.
Pre-Production
Collaborate with the Lead and Communications team to refine concepts, scripts, and storyboards.
Prepare shot lists, schedules, and logistics for upcoming shoots.
Ensure all production assets (logos, templates, design elements) are ready in advance.
Provide creative direction for animation and design strategies to elevate final outputs.
Required Knowledge, Experience & Competencies
Minimum 4 years of experience in film, television, digital media, or a related production field—or an equivalent blend of education and professional experience.
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud: Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom, and InDesign.
Working knowledge of DaVinci Resolve and Cinema 4D.
Expertise in motion graphics design and integration.
Strong technical knowledge of mirrorless camera systems and on-set troubleshooting.
Experience conducting interviews and directing subjects on camera.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
Excellent interpersonal and team collaboration skills.
Assets
Post-secondary education in Digital Media, Communications, or related field.
Experience in multi-format content creation (broadcast, web, social, corporate, commercial).
Demonstrated success working in both independent and team-based environments.
