Natural Factors is seeking full-time Operations Assistants to support our growing manufacturing operations. Successful candidates will be placed on a one-year contract, providing support to the Manufacturing Department and potentially other areas of the business as needed. We are looking for individuals who are motivated to build a long-term career and grow into a permanent role with us.
To be considered, candidates must have flexibility to work in two of the three shifts (excluding overnight shift):
Monday to Friday 6:15am – 2:15pm
Monday to Friday 2:15pm – 10:15pm
Sunday to Thursday 10:15pm – 6:15am
They must also have flexibility to work at two of these three locations:
Burnaby
Coquitlam
Pitt Meadows
Your job responsibilities and compensation will vary depending on your assigned department. Here are examples from three departments:
Manufacturing Department
Use hand tools and material handling equipment to transfer material and machine parts between manufacturing areas, the tooling room and the sanitation area
Participate in equipment and facility cleaning and sanitization activities
Perform quality checking during production to monitor in-process product quality
Maintain all required documentation including cleaning logs and production records
Assist in the monitoring of production equipment with directions from a Technician or Lead Hand when necessary
Sorting of defective products
Packaging Department
Ensure caps, seals, labels, lot number and expiry date are correct
Package bottles in boxes and label boxes
Assemble boxes and trays
Use hand tools and equipment to transfer material and machine parts as needed
Clean/sanitize machines and work areas
Warehouse Department
Picking items, packing boxes, and ensuring efficient operations within the warehouse.
Working on the packaging line, operating machinery, packaging finished goods into bottles and boxes
Distribution and assembly of display materials
