Fire & Life Technician - SCBA
Contract 6-12 months
In this contract role, you will deliver high-quality service, repair, and maintenance of life and fire safety equipment, including portable fire equipment and related systems. While this role is based out of our Oakville branch, the majority of your work will be supporting customers in Nanticoke and the surrounding areas.
Main Responsibilities
Perform daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual, and semi-annual inspections, testing, and maintenance of fire and life safety equipment at indoor and outdoor customer facilities.
Efficiently troubleshoot and repair fire and life safety systems, including SCBAs and other life safety equipment like extinguishers, respirators, emergency lighting etc.
Conduct life safety inspections and audits, providing value-added recommendations for follow-up and maintenance.
Deliver site-specific training sessions to owners and end-users to ensure proper understanding and operation of systems.
Work closely with the service coordinator to schedule service work and manage inventory levels.
Complete all health and safety documentation in accordance with company policies and ISO procedures.
Job Requirements
Previous hands-on experience in a similar or equivalent role is required
Basic mechanical and electrical knowledge, with the ability to work with power and hand tools.
Experience, education, or training in Fire Extinguisher Inspections, Maintenance and Servicing of life safety equipment is a strong asset.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving abstract.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Preference will be given to candidates residing in or around the Nanticoke region.
