Responsibilities:
Operate a DZ-class commercial vehicle safely and in compliance with all provincial regulations and company policies.
Make daily local deliveries and pick ups to customers according to the schedule, in a safe and professional manner
Prepare and complete all paperwork (BOL) needed
Review and verify proper material is loaded and delivered
Strictly adhere to and comply with all health and safety rules
Complete pre-trip inspections of truck and safely operate equipment
Physically fit and able to repeatedly lift, stack pull and carry heavy items
Ability to drive confidentially in a variety of weather, temperature, and road conditions
Providing exceptional service to build and maintain quality customers relationships
Qualifications:
Valid DZ class license
Valid driver’s license and clean driving abstract
Comfortable operating 5 ton tandem axle delivery truck, automatic with air brakes
Organized and keen attention to detail
Mechanically inclined and knowledgeable about tires
Physically fit, capable of heavy lifting (100+ pounds)
Ability to work independently and part of a team
