West Lincoln Memorial Hospital (WLMH) is a community hospital in Grimsby, Ontario and a site of Hamilton Health Sciences (HHS). A new hospital building was opened in November 2025. The WLMH Emergency Department (ED) has approximately 20,000 visits per year, both adult and pediatric populations. The medical specialist’s support includes anesthesia, obstetrics/gynecology, internal medicine, and surgery. There is access to X-ray and CT 24/7 and daytime ultrasound. Emergency Department wait time is identified as an important HHS quality of care indicator that aligns with organizational goals to achieve a more seamless healthcare system. The Physician Assistant will be part of an interprofessional team, and supervised by WLMH emergency physicians. The successful candidate will become a member of the Ontario Physician Assistant Association (OPAA).
- Graduate of Physician Assistant Program
- Prior experience in an Emergency Department setting an asset
- Demonstrated ability to make decisions in times of emergencies
- Demonstrated ability to work alongside Intensivists, Nurses and other Health Care Professionals
