The Opportunity Reporting to the VP, Marketing, the Director, Marketing Technology and AI Enablement is responsible for leading Fidelity Canada’s marketing technology strategy, governance, and innovation agenda, ensuring all marketing platforms, data, and AI capabilities operate as a unified ecosystem that drives automation, personalization and business results. This Director oversees the Marketing Automation team, Digital Experience team, and Digital Product Managers for the Fidelity.ca and MarTech scum teams, providing both strategic leadership and hands-on direction for platform operations, data integration, and AI enablement. The Director combines deep marketing technology expertise with leadership and executional excellence. They will enable data-driven marketing across all channels, strengthen the connection between marketing, sales, emerging businesses and product experiences and advance the intelligent use of data, automation, and AI in every facet of Fidelity Canada’s marketing delivery. What You Will Do Lead the Marketing Technology and AI Strategy Develop and execute a multi-year roadmap for marketing technology and AI enablement aligned to business growth and client engagement goals. Build a connected ecosystem across platforms including Adobe Experience Cloud, Salesforce, Seismic, and Marketo. Integrate automation and AI across workflows to improve efficiency, targeting, and measurement. Establish standards for platform governance, data privacy, and consent compliance (CASL, PIPEDA). Partner with IS, Data, and Compliance to ensure secure, responsible AI adoption. Define business cases, KPIs, and measurement frameworks for new technologies and pilots. Oversee Platform Operations and Digital Product Delivery Lead the Digital Product Managers responsible for Fidelity.ca and the MarTech Scrum teams, ensuring clear priorities, sprint planning, and stakeholder alignment. Manage day-to-day system operations, integrations, and data pipelines to enable analytics and personalization. Drive agile delivery practices to increase release velocity and transparency. Oversee vendor contracts and budgets to ensure scalability and performance. Partner with Digital Experience to continuously improve usability and accessibility across all digital properties. Advance Marketing Automation and Personalization Lead the Marketing Automation team to build and manage programs that engage advisors and investors across email, web, SMS, and events. Integrate AI-driven decisioning, segmentation, and dynamic content into campaigns. Partner with Sales to align CRM and lead-qualification processes. Maintain dashboards that measure campaign effectiveness and engagement across digital channels. Drive AI Enablement and Marketing Intelligence Lead the integration of AI into Fidelity’s MarTech stack (Adobe Experience Cloud, Salesforce, Seismic), enabling smarter targeting, automation, and campaign optimization. Embed AI into digital experiences across Fidelity.ca and mobile apps, including recommendations, next-best-action logic, intelligent search, and content personalization. Enable teams to use AI-assisted content and campaign tools (e.g., generative AI, automated testing, predictive scoring) to improve speed and effectiveness. Partner with Data & Analytics to connect AI outputs to dashboards and business intelligence, improving insight velocity and marketing ROI. Run AI pilots, evaluate vendors, and scale high-impact use cases that reduce manual effort or improve engagement. Ensure all AI capabilities follow responsible AI, privacy, consent, and compliance standards. Lead and Develop a High-Performing Team Manage and mentor leaders across Marketing Automation, Digital Experience, and Digital Product Management. Create clear objectives, KPIs, and development plans that build accountability and growth. Foster a culture of innovation, agile collaboration, and data-driven problem solving. Partner cross-functionally with Events, Content, and Customer Journey Strategy to ensure seamless delivery. What You Will Bring Experience in marketing technology, automation, or digital technology leadership in large, matrixed organizations. Strong influencing and partnership skills across Marketing, Technology, Data, and senior leadership. Proven leadership of high-performing teams and ability to coach across functions. Deep knowledge of financial services and wealth management is an asset. Systems thinker with experience managing complex technology stacks. Comfort working with data, including PII and sensitive information. Strong communication and project management skills with the ability to pivot quickly. A clear vision for how technology, AI, and data can improve efficiency and customer experience Experience, Education University degree (Bachelor Degree) or equivalent work experience Minimum undergraduate degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English or a related discipline 7–10 years of experience in marketing technology, marketing automation, digital product, or technology leadership within large, matrixed organizations. Demonstrated success implementing and scaling enterprise MarTech ecosystems (Adobe Experience Cloud, Salesforce, Seismic, Marketo) and integrating AI/ML capabilities into marketing workflows. Hands-on experience with agile delivery, including backlog ownership, sprint planning, and cross-functional coordination with IS and Data teams. Strong background in data strategy, integration, and analytics enablement — including comfort working with sensitive data and PII. Proven ability to manage multi-million-dollar platform budgets, vendor contracts, and complex delivery pipelines. Experience leading and developing high-performing teams across multiple MarTech or digital functions. Experience in financial services, fintech, or enterprise B2B/B2C organizations is a strong asset. Nice to Have Experience in financial services, fintech, or enterprise B2B/B2C organizations. Professional development in AI, automation, or data analytics. Canadian Securities Course (CSC). Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), PMI-ACP, or PMP. Adobe Experience Cloud or Salesforce certifications. AI/ML or Data Science certifications.
