As a Technical Product Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the product vision, roadmap, and development of RBC’s Enterprise Architecture initiatives. Working closely with senior leadership, product owners, and development/business teams, you will leverage your deep expertise in software delivery and Enterprise Architecture to enhance developer experience, improve code quality, and ensure application security and compliance across RBC’s application portfolio. What will you do?
Define and maintain the Enterprise Architecture roadmap: Prioritize initiatives, define measurable benefits for application development teams, track key results, and ensure alignment with RBC’s Technology strategic vision.
Deliver strong customer engagement: Facilitate community meetups, practitioner steering groups, focused user groups, and partner product management groups.
Perform market needs analysis: Conduct research on industry trends and make data-driven product decisions.
Manage the end-to-end product lifecycle: Oversee planning, prioritization, documentation, communication, and execution of rollout plans.
Build strategic relationships: Collaborate with RBC’s application development team executives and vendors to align strategy and roadmaps for key products.
Collaborate with engineering: Act as a liaison between engineering teams, developers, and stakeholders to ensure technical requirements are understood and met.
Drive data-driven decisions: Define key metrics, analyze technical performance data, and use insights to guide product development.
Support the technical community: Provide training, create documentation, and act as a product evangelist.
Serve as a subject matter expert: Offer support and answer questions from technical communities and customers
What do you need to succeed?
7+ years of Product Management & Agile experience: Proven track record in driving product discussions, market scans, user experience research, software development, and delivery.
Experience with AI technologies: Knowledge of integrating AI into various applications.
Rapid prototyping skills: Ability to prototype concepts and showcase them to engineering teams for buy-in.
Strong software engineering foundation: Advanced knowledge of software development principles, DevOps, and cloud products.
Collaborative mindset: Ability to work across teams and independently to solve problems creatively.
Excellent communication skills: Proficiency in connecting technology and business audiences, tailoring messaging and approach.
Nice-to-have:
Data analytics experience: Familiarity with Elastic, Logstash, and Kibana (ELK) is a bonus.
Security and compliance knowledge: Understanding of security best practices and compliance standards in software development.
