The Housekeeping Supervisor contributes to the overall success of the hotel by leading the daily operations of the housekeeping team that provides Coast Hotels’ standards of cleanliness within all areas of the hotel. This position will be responsible for ensuring that the Coast Hotels cleaning standards for all guest and public areas of the hotel are consistently adhered to.
Responsibilities:
Delegates and oversees the work of others within housekeeping, including daily work flow, and providing guidance to team members.
Inspects guest rooms, addresses needs, resolves guest issues, reports maintenance issues, and ensures adequate inventory levels.
Performs Housekeeping duties as required.
Other duties as required
Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
Secondary school diploma
1 year of related hospitality experience at a leadership level
2+ years Housekeeping experience
Industry specific certifications such as Housekeeping Room Attendant (i.e. emerit) and Tourism Supervisor (i.e. emerit)
Ability to delegate and communicate with others
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Strong problem resolution skills and conflict resolution skills
