Position Summary: Reporting to the Vice-Dean Programs, and working in close collaboration with the Master’s Programs Academic Directors and with the Admissions team, the incumbent develops and executes the recruitment plan that is aligned with the overall Master’s Programs’ objectives to recruit the best students to our MBA and specialized Master’s programs. The candidate must be skilled in data-driven decision making, and in the use of resources and innovative methods to reach a wide network of prospective students. This role will establish partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders to promote the Desautels Master’s programs, ensuring a strong Faculty presence at student recruitment fairs across the world. The incumbent will also maintain a close relationship with prospective applicants throughout the entire application process and follow up with those admitted to the program to ensure that they will attend our program. Primary Responsibilities: Develop and execute a comprehensive recruitment plan for all Master’s Programs. Identify their target market and determine the best approach for their respective programs in order to attract and create a viable applicant pool. Develop recruitment policies and disseminate info to the academic directors of Master’s programs to ensure that they are aligned with the respective goals and objectives of the programs and the Faculty, as well as with market trends. Determine the level of participation of the Masters Recruiters in student recruitment and outreach events and activities, nationally and globally, to maintain a strong Desautels presence in target markets. Plan and review annual action plan concerning student recruitment as they relate to admissions. Collaborate with Central McGill on recruitment events. Manage the recruitment budget; ensure that spending aligns with budget allocations and efficient use of resources. Authorize expenditures and ensure compliance with University and Faculty budget priorities. Working closely with the Marketing and Communications team, lead the implementation of long-term plans to attain the programs’ recruitment targets and develop targeted marketing campaigns to enhance the Faculty’s visibility and programs. Commit to specific applications and enrolment targets and secure the retention of new applications. Contribute to and oversee the analyses of enrollment data, trends and market conditions to assess the effectiveness of recruitment objectives and inform decision-making. Develop enrollment projections and forecasts for resource allocation and planning purposes. Conduct competitor and market analyses to identify emerging trends, benchmark program visibility, and inform accordingly marketing objectives. Work with the Marketing team to integrate marketing and recruitment campaigns for six Master’s programs, including brand positioning, digital presence and content. Ensure program messaging aligns with the Desautels brand and overall McGill positioning. Collaborate with the Admissions team to ensure alignment between recruitment objectives and admissions processes, supporting a seamless applicant experience from initial contact to enrolment. Provide feedback on applicant quality, market trends, and pre-admissions engagement to inform admissions planning and policy development. Contribute insights and data from recruitment activities to support admissions forecasting and reporting. Supervise and lead a small team of recruiters, providing coaching, mentoring, and guidance; conduct annual performance assessments. Keep abreast of market trends and identify new recruitment markets and channels and adjust objectives based on market trends and unforeseen challenges. Oversee the Student Ambassadors Program. Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities Excellent communication (spoken, written, and presentation) interpersonal skills in both English and French and presentation skills. Strong understanding of graduate education and recruitment. Client-focused, creative and experienced in fostering relationships with external contacts. Highly organized and must be able to work independently as well as in a team. MBA or graduate degree an asset. Demonstrated ability to work in a PC environment using Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with CRM tools (SLATE, SALESFORCE). Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
