Essential Responsibilities: Assists manager in coordinating that the Health, Safety, and Environment (HS&E) plan and related HS&E processes are implemented correctly and being followed Understands and applies HS&E tools, requirements, and processes to project/worksite processes Supports in the development and improvement of HS&E processes based on lessons learned, feedback, and emerging trends Maintain records of safety inspections, incident reports, and corrective actions taken Collects HS&E data associated with incidents, inspections, and audits to track and trend HS&E performance and assist with identifying areas for improvement Administer records pertaining to HS&E activities, encompassing incident reports, inspection findings, training records, and permits. Prepare regular reports on safety performance indicators and trends, effectively communicate results and findings to relevant stakeholders Support manager of HS&E in hazard assessments, inspections and quality audits to ensure compliance with HS&E plan requirements Participates in the incident investigation process, including the creation of incident notifications Qualifications: 1+ years of related work experience in construction or telecommunications safety role. Strong consideration would be given to candidates with Telecom experience Certificate or diploma in occupational health and safety. CRSP, CSO or NCSO designation is considered an asset Has a basic understanding of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) programs, policies, and requirements. Has intermediate computer competency including experience with MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel The ability to effectively communicate and present information to the hourly workforce, while also effectively interacting with project management staff, clients, and customers Capable of adapting information/style to the audience, explaining difficult information clearly, influencing and persuading others towards consensus agreement in straightforward situations A strong team player attitude with the ability to effectively adjust to changing priorities and demands Must have and maintain a valid provincial driver’s license and driver's abstract Additional Information Ledcor Technical Services (LTS) designs, builds, and maintains wireline or wireless networks that span North America and beyond.
