Job Summary
Location: Air Canada Lounges Airport, Dorval ( parking included)Position Responsibilities:• Oversees the receiving, verification, and preparation of orders in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner, ensuring all products are handled according to company standards.• Places routine and special product orders based on inventory levels, consumption trends, and operational needs.• Ensures all outgoing orders are correctly assembled, secured in cages, and labeled with accurate route and location information.• Receives returned inventory and re-stocks items following FIFO (First In, First Out) to maintain product integrity and minimize waste.• Conducts and reconciles scheduled and ad-hoc inventory counts, identifying variances and contributing to improved inventory accuracy.• Supports fiscal accountability by monitoring product usage, shrinkage, and inventory-related cost controls; identifies opportunities for process improvements and cost efficiencies.• Provides leadership in supervising stockroom associates, including coaching, task assignment, productivity monitoring, and ensuring compliance with operational standards.• Assists with scheduling, training, onboarding, and performance development of stockroom team members.• Collaborate with the Stockroom Manager, supervisors, and department leaders to resolve operational challenges and ensure effective stockroom workflow.• Observes, reports, and takes corrective action (when appropriate) on unsafe or unsanitary conditions within the stockroom.• Ensures proper operation and safety practices when using warehouse equipment.• Maintains a clean, organized, and efficient stockroom environment at all times.• Performs all related tasks, requests, and procedures as directed by the Stockroom Manager.• Ability to pick up or move 23 kg (50 lbs) frequently and up to 27 kg (60 lbs) occasionally.• Ability to remain in a stationary position for up to 50% of the time and perform physical tasks such as reaching, bending, twisting, stooping, pushing, and lifting. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Required:• 2–4 years of warehouse, inventory management, or stockroom experience, with at least 1 year of supervisory or lead-hand experience preferred.• Familiarity with automated ordering systems and inventory tracking tools are considered an asset.• Strong background in logistics, ordering, receiving, and stock control processes.• Intermediate computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Outlook, Teams, Word) and inventory management systems.• Ability to read, interpret, and analyze inventory data, order requirements, and basic math calculations.• Proven ability to meet time-sensitive deadlines while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.• Working knowledge of all safety rules, procedures, hazard identification, and safe material-handling techniques.• Demonstrated skill in lifting, stacking, organizing, and building secure pallets efficiently.• Skilled in operating warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks and related stockroom tools.• Experience leading teams of 6–10 associates while maintaining productivity, accuracy, and service standards.• Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with supervisors, department managers, and cross-functional partners.• Ability to maintain professionalism, problem-solve effectively, and support stockroom operations with sound judgment.Compass Group Canada is committed to nurturing a diverse workforce representative of the communities within which we operate.
