Job Description WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY? As a Senior Quality Engineer for ATM systems, you will have the opportunity to ensure the reliability, security, and performance of critical banking infrastructure relied upon by millions. Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for ATM software, backend services, and API integrations including validating API integrations between ATMs, core banking systems, and third-party services to ensure seamless functionality Conduct performance, load, and stress testing to ensure ATM systems meet transaction latency and peak load requirements Perform security testing to ensure compliance with PCI-DSS standards and safeguard sensitive data Execute chaos engineering experiments to test failover, disaster recovery, and system resilience under real-world scenarios Validate observability systems, including dashboards, alerts, and telemetry, to monitor ATM health and performance Collaborate with SRE and development teams to define and achieve SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets ensuring system reliability and performance Perform accessibility and usability testing to ensure compliance with standards, enhancing user experience Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to streamline development cycles and improve deployment quality Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Automation Coverage: Achieve 85% of regression tests automated Defect Leakage Rate: Maintain <5% defects found in production Performance Metrics: Ensure transaction latency <2 seconds under peak load Security Compliance: Achieve 100% PCI-DSS compliance Observability Validation: 100% coverage of critical ATM health metrics Resilience Testing: Validate 90% of failover scenarios successfully Accessibility Compliance: Maintain 95% WCAG adherence MTTR: Maintain recovery time <10 minutes during chaos tests. WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED? Must-Have: Proficiency in test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium) and API testing tools (e.g., Postman, SoapUI) Expertise in performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner) and security testing tools (e.g., OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite) Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills across distributed systems to identify and resolve issues efficiently Experience with observability platforms (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk) to monitor and validate ATM health and performance In-depth understanding of compliance frameworks (e.g., PCI-DSS) and experience conducting resilience testing, including chaos engineering experiments Familiarity with defining and working with SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets to ensure system reliability and performance. Nice-to-have: Experience with cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure) and containerization/orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) Familiarity with distributed tracing tools (e.g., Jaeger) and synthetic monitoring or APM tools (e.g., Dynatrace, New Relic) Hands-on experience with accessibility testing tools and standards and automated security testing in CI/CD pipelines Basic knowledge of database performance tuning to support backend systems and optimize transaction processing.
