Job Description
We are looking for a Senior System Safety Engineer with practical expertise in safety/mission critical embedded systems to join our dynamic team and contribute to the development of next-generation electric or autonomous on-road and off-road vehicles.
Responsibilities:
Conduct hazard analysis and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential safety hazards throughout the system lifecycle.
Develop and maintain Functional Safety Concept (FSC) and Technical Safety Concept (TSC) in alignment with ISO 26262 and related standards.
Define safety goals and requirements for hardware, software, and system-level components.
Drive fail-operational strategies, redundancy concepts, and fallback modes for EV and AV systems.
Perform safety analyses, including FMEA, FTA and DFA, to evaluate system safety performance and identify improvement opportunities.
Review and assess functional safety work products for compliance with ISO 26262 and related standards.
Participate in technical discussion as part of business development efforts.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
10+ years experience in system safety engineering, with a focus on automotive systems or industrial systems.
Experience in hazard analysis and risk assessments (HARA / HAZOP)
Experience in system safety analysis type FMEA and FTA.
Experience with at least one of these standards: ISO 26262, ISO 13849, IEC 61508, IEC 62061
Experience in functional safety for requirement engineering, E/E architecture and integration with mechanical systems
Knowledge of electric vehicle safety (high-voltage systems, battery safety).
Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability reach out the client.
Preferred skills
Experience with MBSE tools (SysML, Matlab Simulink) and MIL/SIL testing
Experience with Brake systems, steering systems, and powertrain safety
Knowledge of high-voltage system safety and battery management systems, thermal management and charging systems safety.
Certification in functional safety (e.g., TÜV Functional Safety Engineer) is a plus.
