About the Role As an HR Generalist at Atlas Tube, a division of Zekelman Industries, you will play a key role in supporting the Harrow facility through hands-on HR operations and employee support. This position requires strong relationship-building, communication, and conflict-resolution skills, and offers the opportunity to directly influence recruitment outcomes, employee engagement, safety culture, and compliance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will collaborate with the Director of Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, and site leadership to ensure effective staffing, smooth onboarding and offboarding, consistent performance practices, and strong HR partnership across the facility. This is a fully remote role supporting the Harrow, ON facility, with regular, full-time predictable onsite attendance required as an essential function of the role. This role is perfect for someone who is service-driven, highly organized, and enjoys balancing people-focused support with operational HR execution. What You’ll Do Identify staffing needs and partner with managers and Talent Acquisition to support candidate selection. Coordinate recruitment activities to ensure timely, effective hiring outcomes. Conduct new employee orientation and manage onboarding to support retention and productivity. Implement offboarding processes to ensure consistent documentation and positive employee experience. Support employee relations by assisting with conflict resolution, disciplinary procedures, and understaffing concerns. Coordinate labour relations activities and support contract administration. Organize culture-enhancing events and HR initiatives that promote engagement and a positive work environment. Maintain and update employee information in HRIS systems, supporting accurate records and reporting. Advise site leadership on performance management practices and policy implementation. Lead and promote healthy and safe work practices as required by regulatory agencies and Company policy. Perform other duties as assigned. Who You Are 2–5 years of progressive HR generalist experience, preferably in manufacturing. Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field; Human Resources preferred. Basic knowledge of HRIS systems; Workday preferred. Working knowledge of Human Resources laws and compliance practices. Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to prioritize urgent and high-impact work. Strong verbal, written, and listening skills to effectively support employees and leaders. Goal-oriented self-starter with sound judgment, a strong sense of urgency, and strategic mindset. High ethical standards with the ability to handle confidential employee information. This is a good-faith estimate, and offers will be determined based on experience, education, skill set, and interview performance.
