The System & Cloud Administrator is responsible for the implementation, configuration, and technical support of cloud environments, L2 and L3 networks, server operating systems, and change management. The role supports the IT Asset with a primary focus on cloud architecture, networking, disaster recovery, and server infrastructure.
Annual base salary range $75,000 - $85,000

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Cloud & Infrastructure Management
Primary Responsibility: Administer and maintain cloud infrastructure including IaaS and SaaS deployments, specifically Microsoft Azure and Office 365 environments.
Assist with architecture changes and upgrades in the environment at the datacenter, hardware, and application levels, with an emphasis on hybrid and cloud-based solutions.
Support on-premises networks to the edge and assist with new network implementations to ensure robust connectivity to cloud resources.
Manage backup, recovery, and updates of Virtual Machines (VMs) and related cloud technologies.
Operational Support & Security
Identify and understand the IT environment as it pertains to business operations, the user community, and cyber security.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to Help Desk Support Analysts as needed.
Enhance the overall scope of operations by lending expertise as an experienced Systems & Cloud Administrator.
Act as a technical resource for IT-related projects.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Education & Experience
Possession of a bachelor's degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or relevant industry certifications.
Experience in enterprise cloud infrastructure, network architecture, data management, information security, connectivity solutions, and disaster recovery technologies.
Technical Competencies
Required: ability to operate in environments utilizing Microsoft Azure and Office 365.
Required: Proficiency with Mobile Device Management (MDM) and remote connectivity solutions.
Required: Experience with Virtualization (Microsoft Hyper-V) and related cloud-compute concepts.
Required: Experience with managed switches/routers/firewalls (Juniper, Meraki, Aruba).
Strong knowledge of Windows Active Directory, Linux OS, and Two-factor authentication.
Familiarity with Disaster Recovery systems, Backup/Recovery (e.g., VEEAM), and Cyber security risk mitigation.
Professional Skills
Ability to mitigate potential problems within the infrastructure and determine root causes for resolution.
Proficiency in English, both written and oral, with excellent communication skills.
Enthusiastic, curious team player with a no-fail attitude and a professional excellence mind-set.
