We are seeking a fully qualified Architectural and Interior Technologist Specialist who brings advanced technical expertise and the ability to bridge both disciplines. The successful candidate will apply deep knowledge of building systems, construction detailing, and design coordination to develop well-integrated, constructible solutions for both base building and interior fit-out projects.
This position requires a strong understanding of the Ontario Building Code, building materials, and integrated design processes, supported by advanced proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD. The Architectural and Interior Technologist Specialist plays a pivotal role in ensuring quality, accuracy, and coordination across all project documentation, while mentoring junior staff and collaborating closely with architects, interior designers, and engineers.

What You Will Do
Project Planning and Coordination:
Participate in project planning to meet budget and schedule objectives, managing time allocation and ensuring project completion within set hours.
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team members to address project requirements.
Handle minor client coordination tasks.
Technical Design and Drafting:
Independently plan and execute moderate complexity technical assignments.
Develop architectural drawings, Revit models, and specifications from rough architectural/client sketches, filling in details in the spirit of the design.
Apply architectural and engineering knowledge to create unique drawing layouts and details.
Perform drafting for intermediate projects and lead smaller ones under senior guidance.
Create accurate project drawing sets with defined scope, executing Revit work, including model setup and coordination.
Survey and Information Gathering:
Determine survey needs and requirements for existing building conditions.
Plan effective gathering of information, including existing measurements, equipment, and services.
Quality Control and Standards:
Complete assigned design tasks, reviewed for standards and accuracy, adhering to quality control processes for review by senior staff.
Apply knowledge of codes, standards, and construction technology to solve specific design problems and implement solutions.
Ensure the accuracy and completeness of information and display a sound knowledge of architectural systems.
Contract Administration:
Provide contract administration duties such as reviewing shop drawings related to the fabrication of construction elements for accuracy.
Develop RFI responses and provide supplementary information as required.
Support and Collaboration:
Assist with various tasks and projects as assigned by supervisors or senior team members to support the overall success of the team and company objectives.

What You Bring to the Table
Completion of a Diploma in Architectural Technology, and/or registered or eligible for registration with OAAAS/OACETT would be considered an asset
Minimum 5 years of experience in the design/drafting of a variety of architectural projects
Experience in a multi-discipline consulting environment would be considered an asset
Excellent working knowledge of architectural drafting with Revit and AutoCAD, along with BIM Modeling and Microsoft Office Suite
Comprehensive knowledge of design, specifications, construction, and contracting techniques
Excellent communication skills; both verbal and written
Eager to learn and take on new challenges
Ability to deliver high quality work and meet strict deadlines
