Job Description Application Engineering Regional Manager Position Summary Description: The Engineer to Order (ETO) Medium Voltage (MV) Business is looking for an Application Engineering Manager. This manager will lead a large regional team based in Cambridge and provide global oversight of application engineers based in India, Brazil, Poland, and China. This position includes a combination of direct technical reports and direct supervisory reports with their own teams of technical resources. This engineering team will provide engineer to order MV product-based solutions that meet customer requirements. This high visibility position will identify and engage on internal innovation projects to improve customer experience, engineering productivity, engineering quality and operational excellence. Your Responsibilities: You will lead a large group with both team leaders and engineers, manage, coach, and hold the team accountable for achieving goals You will provide technical leadership, including driving problems toward resolution when encountering, uncertainty, or inflexibility You will develop team technical competencies to ensure the team can stay relevant to support our needs, delivering quality right first time You will manage resource allocation to ensure the right resources available to support the different needs You will encourage collaboration across functions to achieve common goals You will Identify and adopt the best practices and lessons learned from internal and external sources You will be pro-active in identification of high risk orders in backlog and creation of mitigation plans You will implement and meet KPIs that impact engineering throughput, productivity and quality You will identify and implement process improvement opportunities You will monitor project status, escalating issues as necessary The Essentials- you will have: Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience Legal authorization to work in Canada is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future The Preferred- you might also have: Typically requires a minimum of 5 years management experience Bachelor's /Masters degree in Electrical Engineering Demonstrated Organisational and leadership capabilities Technical background with expertise in problem solving techniques Be able to develop technical competencies in others High Commitment to engineering and product quality in a high-volume production engineering environment.
