Reporting directly to the Materials team, the Inventory Control Analyst will ensure accurate inventory management and support manufacturing operations through cycle counting, discrepancy resolution, and process optimization. Job Description The Inventory Analyst is responsible for ensuring inventory accuracy and integrity across production, warehouse, and financial systems. This role combines analytical expertise, Lean principles, and hands-on execution to optimize material flow, reduce waste, and support continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates strong problem-solving skills, and collaborates effectively with cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities: Execute cycle counting (daily, weekly, monthly) using statistical sampling, ABC classification, and risk-based methods to maintain inventory accuracy. Perform physical inventory counts and ensure data integrity across production, warehouse, and financial systems. Investigate inventory discrepancies using structured problem-solving tools (5 Whys, fishbone, Pareto, SPC). Analyze inventory variances and trends; recommend process improvements based on root cause analysis. Manage customer-owned inventory and support stock audits to meet contractual and SLA requirements. Maintain Kanban systems and apply Lean principles for pull-based replenishment and waste reduction. Collaborate with stakeholders to optimize material flow, WIP levels, and capacity using VSM, queuing theory, and throughput analysis. Advise on risks affecting production supply and coordinate cross-functional mitigation. Drive initiatives to reduce slow-moving inventory, obsolescence, and improve turnover metrics. Maintain and calibrate counting equipment; develop improved methods for complex items. Support VMI and space utilization optimization for operational efficiency. Track and report KPIs (accuracy, productivity, variance trends) for data-driven decisions. Perform other duties supporting manufacturing operations and continuous improvement. Ability to lift 30 pounds without restriction and stand/walk for long periods of time.
