This individual will be a key member of Toyota’s Finance & Accounting department, supporting accounting and inventory analysis for the Vehicle Division. This is a contract opportunity and will report to the Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis. What We’ll Bring: Company & Culture A hybrid work environment A work environment built on teamwork, flexibility and respect Professional growth and development programs to help advance your career A focus on respect for people and continuous improvement Summer Hours – condensed work week during the summer Benefits Competitive compensation package Extended health care and dental benefits effective immediately Associate vehicle discount program Paid holiday shutdown and competitive paid time off benefits What You’ll be Doing: Maintain accuracy of vehicle inventory accounts and cost of goods entries recorded to the P&L; including purchase price condition reconciliation and adjustments Timely investigation and resolution of discrepancies, including GR/IR accounts, with adjustments recorded in P&L; identify root cause Work with business and IS partners to support process to ensure accurate vehicle pricing for TCI transactions; interface integrity with SAP systems Provide efficient translation of financial data to business information for transparency, meaningful reporting & advice Period End Closing Activities Responsible for monthly financial close activities for Vehicle Divisions, including preparation of journal entries, data and general ledger account analysis to ensure recording and reporting in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) Support COGS / margin analysis analyses for monthly financial review meeting and business review meetings Reconcile Balance Sheet accounts, including inventory and GR/IR accounts for Vehicles Divisions Timely and accurate Shareholder reporting [iFEM, Mitsui, CONETS] and internal financial reporting Quarterly/Annual/Year-End Audit Prepare account reconciliations for Vehicles, inventory and GR/IR accounts Provide quarter-end/year-end audit support (tax, internal control, PwC) for assigned business areas Support Team Lead, Profitability on forecasting and budget setting process especially COGS analytics Ad-hoc Tasks Proactively act on opportunities to continuously improve internal process, such as developing and/or refining working templates/model, reporting, and developing standard operating procedures (SOPs) Support testing and development of SAP system enhancements including interfaces and Business Intelligence reporting Assist with ad hoc projects to support F&A and assigned business areas, as required What You’ll Bring: University degree in Business/Accounting CPA/CA/CMA/CGA designation or candidate, preferred 3 - 5 years financial experience (including financial budgeting, planning, reporting and analysis experience) Experience partnering with the business including at senior levels, ensuring communication and content is tailored towards the audience ERP system experience coupled with Financial Reporting tools (SAP experience preferred) Comfortable working with large data sets Advanced Excel skills Highly motivated individual, who is a self-starter, quick learner, organized, logical thinker and customer focused, likes new challenges Demonstrated commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and working collaboratively with internal & external business partners Dedication to Continuous improvement (Challenge, Kaizen, Genchi Genbutsu) Continue to support in a dynamic environment/industry, helping the team/organization think innovatively to help support enterprise priorities About Us Toyota Canada Inc. is the exclusive Canadian distributor of Toyota and Lexus vehicles.
