Welcome to Low Tide Properties. We are a Vancouver-based privately held real estate investment, development, and management company. We own and manage over 60 properties in Strathcona, Gastown, Great Northern Way, Mount Pleasant and Kits.

About the Role & the Department
This internship offers hands-on exposure to the financial planning and analysis (FP&A) function within a real estate owner-operator. It’s a great fit for someone who is detail-oriented, analytical, and interested in understanding how financial insights support decision-making across the business. You’ll work closely with the Finance Analyst and the broader Accounting & Finance team to support key reporting cycles and contribute to meaningful financial outputs.
Role Overview
As part of the Finance team, you will assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting packages, including the investment forecast, management reporting, and the annual operating plan. You’ll help compile and analyze large datasets, review company KPIs, and perform variance analysis against prior periods and budget. Throughout the internship, you’ll gain valuable insight into the reporting rhythm and financial operations of an active property owner-operator.
What You’ll Do
Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual FP&A reporting
Support the investment forecast and annual operating plan process
Compile and analyze financial and operational KPIs
Perform variance analysis to identify trends, drivers, and key insights
Work with large datasets to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness
Collaborate with the Finance Analyst and wider Accounting & Finance team
Build and maintain reporting files using Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Contribute to process improvements across the reporting cycle
(Asset) Support data transformation or automation using Power Query
Who You Are
Detail-oriented, accurate, and comfortable working with large datasets
Strong Excel skills; experience with Word and PowerPoint
Able to identify errors and maintain consistency across complex data
Analytical mindset with an interest in financial performance and KPIs
Organized, able to prioritize tasks, and able to work toward firm deadlines
Collaborative and comfortable working with multiple team members
Curious about real estate finance and FP&A processes
Power Query experience is an asset
Salary: $24 per/hour
