Job Description:
The Warehouse Supervisor is a critical role in the operations team, managing all aspects of the Evvo warehouse and logistics operations in our Cambridge, Ontario facility. The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for ensuring all warehousing and logistics KPIs are met, scheduling and managing day-to-day activities for the employees in their department, as well as maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Planning:
Analyze and project resource requirements based on forecasted production plan and longer-term strategic goals
Enable executives to make informed decisions in planning, resourcing and budgeting within agreed deadlines
Training programs encompassing cross training on platforms and new services
Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) system methodology
Ensure adequate resources to meet KPIs
Warehousing:
Provides leadership, direction and guidance to a subsection of Evvo employees
Work directly with all team members to increase process optimization
Track, document and report any major changes to warehouse operations, team members or environment e.g. WIP Reports, KPIs
Develop and execute continuous improvement action plans that will increase improvement in all activities in the warehouse
Facilitate workflow optimization
Ensure positive staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counselling; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
Complete production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; and reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.
Consistently meet customer requirements including quality, turnaround time and production volumes.
Ensuring that the implementation of a customer solution exhaustively reflects the customer’s warehousing and logistics requirements
Regular communication with internal and external customers
Quality:
Sustain and ensure complete adherence to current and future business management systems. i.e.: ISO 14001, R2, ISO45001, ISO9001, RQO, ISO27001
Ensure continuous and consistent improvement, quality, customer service in accordance with company policies/procedures
Develop and recommend warehousing and logistics improvement opportunities
Ensure Quality Assurance Plan and Procedures are followed and any non-conformances follow the CAR process.
Actively participate in the corrective action resolution process. i.e.: CAR
Involvement and collaboration with management and staff as it relates to Quality/Process irregularities or production issues.
Lead warehouse operations in continuous improvement activities to drive operational efficiencies and process movement
Ensure appropriate training programs are in place for all products and processes ensuring personnel have all the tools required to complete work efficiently, effectively and safely.
Creating and updating of work instructions as necessary
Health & Safety:
Assist in Integrated Management System enforcement
Active in all Health and Safety meetings and initiatives, including but not limited to involvement in safety information sessions, workplace audits, and recommendations on training
Foster an open door, positive working environment, maintaining a consistent schedule of value add leadership and Town Hall meetings.
Ensure all staff embrace and abide by the goals of the Evvo Employee Handbook, including appropriate PPE
Drive 5S program throughout the facility
Ensure that safe conditions exist at all times within the work environment and take the appropriate action to protect the health and safety of all employees, visitors and contractors on site.
Enforce all company policies, programs, rules and regulations
Other:
Oversee daily opening and closing activities as required
Ensure shipments and pickups process smoothly
Ensure a safe work environment exists at all times
Ensure all workers under their supervision are properly trained in their role, emergency response measures and health and safety.

Proficiency using Google Suite and Microsoft Office applications
