Position Overview
We are looking for a skilled and dependable Equipment Operator for our Aggregate Pit. We are looking for equipment operators with experience operating loaders, rock trucks, excavators, dozers to assist in the production and refinement of aggregates.
Responsibilities:
Operate heavy equipment in a safe and effective manner
Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment
Perform routine cleanings and maintenance such as lubricating, fueling, and cleaning
Participate in company safety program and initiatives, following safe work practices
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Valid class 5 drivers license and clean abstract.
At least five (5) years of experience operating heavy equipment.
Previous experience working in an Aggregate pit is an asset.

Work Environment
This is a field-based position on an active worksite. PPE is required including CSA certified steel-toed boots.
Equipment Operators work outdoors frequently in various weather conditions on ground that may be rough, muddy, or icy.
Must be able to sit for long periods.
Physical Demands
This position is physical in nature and requires bending, crawling, crouching, and standing for long periods of time. Materials onsite are heavy and cumbersome. The successful candidate must be able to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
Hours of Work
Shifts are generally 8-12 hours in length, Monday-Friday. Hours may vary during the winter season based on the needs of the business.
Applicants will be required to undergo pre-employment drug and alcohol testing and Fit for Work testing as part of the hiring process.
