Payband: This position is paid at Payband J, $43.61 - $50.39 per hour Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Reporting to the Associate Dean, School of Health Sciences, the Health and Wellness Team Lead provides support to faculty and students with learning activities within experiential learning environments. As Team Lead, the incumbent provides ongoing advice and guidance, oversees learning environments and resource coordination, and delegates tasks within the experiential learning spaces. Key Responsibilities: Organizes and oversees the health and safety and student learning opportunities in the experiential learning environments associated with the Health and Wellness Clinics Plans, organizes, and leads Health and Wellness clinics and learning environment demonstrations and training and provides support and guidance for technologists, faculty, and students Participates in the School of Health Sciences activities and Marketing events Other duties as assigned Qualifications: 3 year diploma/degree in a related field Certified Dental Assistant Level II with the Ontario Dental Assistants Association Registered Dental Hygienist with the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario Current standing in CPR (HCP) and First Aid certification Member in good standing with the Ontario Dental Assistant Association (ODAA) and the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario (CDHO) Minimum 3 years experience working in the Oral Health field – experience with IPAC protocols, dental reception, radiography, instrument reprocessing, and have experience demonstrating a wide variety of dental protocols Experience working with students in a professor learning environment is required Experience with experiential learning and clinical learning Proficiency with computer software operation including Windows, MS Word and Excel Experience managing the scheduling and bookings for multiple spaces Experience demonstrating leadership in a team setting Experience guiding the daily work tasks of others A background in adult education is an asset Educational Credentials While transcripts are not required for the interview, they are mandatory as a condition of employment.
