Lawson Lundell LLP is seeking an Office Services Clerk to join our Office Services Department in the Vancouver office. Our Office Services team supports all lawyers and staff in the firm. We are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking team player who is interested in a front-facing role at our Deliveries Desk.
The Office Services Clerk is responsible for managing all incoming and outgoing deliveries, priority mail, and registered mail, ensuring each item reaches its destination in a timely manner. The Office Services Clerk will also cross-train with other team members in order to provide overflow relief and vacation/sick coverage within the Mailroom and also at Reception. The regular working hours for this role are Monday–Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm.
Standard Responsibilities:
Deal with incoming/outgoing deliveries, priority post, and registered mail to ensure it reaches its required destination in a timely manner.
Greet and converse with couriers and delivery drivers daily in-person and via telephone.
Liaise with lawyers and staff, and answer questions as they arise.
Communicate potential, or confirmed, service delays with lawyers/staff regarding their shipments.
Perform other administrative and related duties as required.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a professional environment, such as a deliveries desk, mailroom, or reception, is considered an asset
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Strong attention to detail
Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills
Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and solve problems in a fast-paced environment
Capable of working independently and collaboratively as part of a team
Proactive, service-oriented approach is essential
