Your day-to-day!
Asset Management:
Coordinate the commercial and contractual aspects of all the sites of the portfolio;
Ensure that all key aspects of the site are being addressed and validated by internal or external parties;
Act as a liaison between the operations team and the corporate finance department;
Collaborate with development and construction teams through knowledge and understanding of upcoming project specific contractual requirements, obligations and opportunities;
Ensure a good understanding of operational challenges to provide value driven, performance optimization solutions;
Maintain key external stakeholder relationship with Financial associates, Community and First Nation Partners, offtaker, etc.;
Assume leadership and act as a key contributor in the decision-making processes and business case initiatives by collaborating and supporting the cross lines of services;
Review energy production and related offtake agreements (Power Purchase Agreements and Power Hedges) and compare to expectations or baselines;
Responsible for all energy calculations related to BC Hydro Deemed and Firm Energy;
Lead project coordination meetings with internal team members and/or external consultants, owner, contractor, and vendors;
Develop, optimize, implement, and monitor the efficiency of internal controls and perform quarterly covenants meeting with key stakeholders of all the sites of the portfolio;
Consult with supporting departments to ensure compliance with laws, regulations and various agreements and ensure administrative procedures meet the requirements;
Financial:
Monitor and manage financial performance, in close connection with the operations team, of a portfolio of operating renewable energy assets across multiple jurisdictions;
Deliver and coordinate monthly quarterly and/or annual financial and operational reports for all assets/companies in the portfolio;
Ensure a through monitoring of expenses and revenues. Suggest improvements or relevant expense reductions to the stakeholders;
Lead the preparation of the annual budget planning exercise, perform and present monthly variance analysis to department lead, participate in the long-term forecast projections;
Work in collaboration with various accounting teams for month-end and quarter-end processes;
Ensure quarterly and year-end closing procedures are accurate, within deadlines and comply with corporate and regulatory standards.
Your skills, our requirements!
Minimum 7 years of experience
Bachelor’s degree or a combination of experience and education will be considered
Business oriented profile and prioritize the extraction of value from current agreements
Excellent organizational and time-management skills in a multi-tasking context
Professionalism, thoroughness, and strong sense of responsibility
Strong work ethic, quality-minded and detail-oriented
Autonomous and driven
Understanding of accounting standards and publications
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to excel in highly collaborative work environment
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and keen ability to interpret results
Affinity and curiosity for renewable energy and continual learning in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge in the operating renewable energy facilities, an asset
Relevant experience in project management and development
Microsoft Office

The position is based in the company's Vancouver, BC, office.
This position is a P4 level.

Pay Transparency Statement
Compensation for roles at Innergex varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, education, and level of experience. We believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer.
In the spirit of pay transparency we are excited to share the base salary for the position is $105,000 - $135,000, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. If you are hired by Innergex, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future and continued salary growth. We also offer a generous compensation and benefits package.
