The Director of Data Architecture will lead the design and execution of the enterprise data strategy, ensuring scalable, secure, and high-performing data solutions that enable advanced analytics and business intelligence. This role will oversee data warehousing, integration, governance, and architecture standards across the organization, with a strong focus on leveraging modern cloud technologies. Experience with Snowflake and other cloud-based platforms is highly desirable.
This role will be essential in ensuring the company's centralized data tables are architected for accuracy, scalability, and long-term growth. The Director will also lead the design and implementation of new data feeds that integrate core enterprise platforms - including Workday, SAGE, HubSpot, Ironclad, and ServiceNow - enabling seamless data flow and reliable reporting and analytics across the organization
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement a comprehensive data strategy aligned with business objectives and future-state architecture.
Design and maintain enterprise data architecture, including data models, integration patterns, and governance frameworks.
Lead the development and optimization of data warehousing solutions, ensuring scalability and performance for analytics and reporting.
Partner with IT, Finance, and Business teams to enable data-driven decision-making through robust architecture and best practices.
Oversee data migration and transformation initiatives, ensuring accuracy, security, and compliance.
Establish and enforce data governance policies, including metadata management, data quality, and security standards.
Drive adoption of cloud-based data platforms (Snowflake experience strongly preferred) and modern ETL/ELT tools.
Manage and mentor a team of data architects and engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
10+ years of experience in data architecture, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Proven expertise in data strategy, modeling, and warehousing.
Hands-on experience with Snowflake, cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and modern data integration tools.
Strong understanding of data governance, security, and compliance frameworks.
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills
Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) and advanced analytics platforms.
Familiarity with data lakehouse architectures and real-time data processing.
Knowledge of financial and operational data domains is a plus.
