Job SummaryWe have an exciting temporary Full-Time opportunity for a Client Partner, Violence Prevention – Medical Staff to join our team at Central City Tower located in Surrey, B.C. This position is available until January 2027.
In this role you will:
- Responsible for the development, review and facilitation of the Violence Prevention program for Medical Staff.
- Support communication and education related to reporting and documentation of aggressive incidents processes for Medical Staff.
- Lead the delivery of classroom-based Violence Prevention education and training for Medical Staff.
- Supports the development of policies, safe work procedures and Medical Staff engagement in the Violence Risk Assessment process.
- Lead the Violence Prevention program for Medical Staff and assists in managing specific issues related to aggressive behaviour.
- Support reporting and audit systems to monitor the ongoing effectiveness of the goals and objectives of the Violence Prevention program for Medical Staff.
- Support development of communication strategies to ensure success of the Violence Prevention program for Medical Staff.
- Support the completion of a taxonomy review to assess the appropriate level of violence prevention training for Medical Staff.
- Support the communication and promotion of medical staff violence prevention training.
- Support the integration of violence prevention training into Medical Staff orientation.
- Liaise and collaborate with leadership to secure funding to boost training completion rates.
- Provide regular statistical reports to working groups and leadership.
- You must be available to work flexible hours including early mornings, later evenings and weekends.
- Travel may be required, and you must have access to a vehicle to use for work purposes.

Detailed OverviewSupporting the Vision, Values, Purpose and Commitments of Fraser Health including service delivery that is centered around patients/clients/residents and families:
Reporting to the Leader, Regional Initiatives, Workplace Health, the Client Partner, Violence Prevention is responsible for assisting with Violence Prevention program development including implementation and evaluation of the Violence Prevention program across Fraser Health.
Responsibilities
- Assists Violence Prevention program development including policies, work procedures, education & training, risk identification and assessment procedures, communication of risk and reporting and documenting of aggressive incidents.
- Responsible for the development and facilitation of various Violence Prevention education programs including risk specific curriculums for acute care, community and residential programs.
- Provides clinical leadership for the Violence Prevention program and assists departments in troubleshooting specific issues related to aggressive behaviour.
- Provides leadership and development of reporting and audit systems to monitor the ongoing effectiveness of the goals and objectives of the Violence Prevention program.
- Develops a communication strategy to ensure success of Violence Prevention program objectives.
- Presents documented results to Fraser Health Regional Violence Prevention Committee on the progress and outcomes of Violence Prevention program initiatives.
- Develops timelines and makes recommendations of budget for Violence Prevention program activities.
- Liaises with department managers, supervisors, staff and external agencies such as WorkSafe BC.
QualificationsEducation and ExperienceBachelor's degree in a health-related discipline and a professional designation inclusive of specialized training in occupational health & safety from a recognized educational institution, supplemented with three (3) to five (5) years' recent related progressive health and safety experience in a large complex organization and working knowledge of violence prevention programs, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Valid BC Driver's license and access to a personal vehicle for business-related purposes.
