Position Summary:
This role combines technical expertise with sales support and customer service to help drive growth within the Canadian Sales Organization. You will provide engineered solutions using both standard and custom Chemelex products, support customers through timely and accurate order and inquiry management, and collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of products and services. In this hybrid technical–customer-focused role, you’ll contribute to revenue generation by promoting products and services, developing prospects, and supporting key marketing initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Support the Canadian Sales Organization customer related needs.
Assist in increasing Sales revenue by promoting existing as well as new Products and Services to customer base as offered through Chemelex.
Provide engineered solutions for Chemelex applications using standard and custom Products
Participate in marketing initiatives including sales training, product launches, and promotion campaigns.
Working closely together with our Customer Care, Sales, and Product Management departments.
Assist to develop new prospects and interact with existing customers primarily by email to increase Product and/or Services revenue.
Process customer quotes and orders in an efficient and timely manner through SAP Operating System and following company procedures.
Process invoices, returns and repairs as well as manage written pricing agreements.
Process all customer inquiries and requests in a timely, accurate, expeditious and professional manner.
Liaise with various internal departments (e.g. Field Support Services, Engineering, Credit, Document Control, Supply Chain and Fabrication) as necessary to effectively support the customer order management process.
Coordinate internal resources for the flawless execution of Service orders that include, but not limited to, engineering services and/or complex 3rd party materials
Qualifications:
5+ years’ experience in sales and customer service, preferably within an industrial or technical sales setting.
Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand and apply product knowledge.
Working knowledge of mechanical/electrical concepts and the ability to articulate how components fit and function.
Experience with SAP or similar ERP/ERM systems preferred.
Knowledge of Salesforce preferred.
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office: Excel, Word and Outlook.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to multi-task and balance shifting priorities to satisfy customer requests.
Capable of following standard work processes.
