Job Description: The Critical Care Nurse Educator provides development initiatives and leadership in these spheres of nursing: clinical practice, education, research and quality improvement. The position reports to the Nursing Unit Managers of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Post Anesthetic Care Unit (PACU) and Respiratory Therapy (RT). The incumbent is self-directed and requires minimum supervision. The Nurse Educator integrates skills and knowledge from nursing theory and principles of adult learning in the provision of direct patient care, clinical coordination, clinical problem-solving, education and research for a defined group of patients and/or programs.
