We are looking for an Accountant, Indirect Procurement and Logistics to join and strengthen our operations in Valmet North America. The purpose of this role is to improve Indirect procurement and logistics profitability and reliability in the North America area and support business growth by developing a cost-competitive, high-quality, and innovative supplier base and service offering and by driving improvement in solutions, digitalization and automation. In this key role, you work closely with Valmet Business areas, procurement and logistics colleagues in North America. You are responsible for the process and development of the North America invoicing end to end process with indirect procurement and logistics suppliers and providing support to Business areas for related matters. To excel in this role, you should: Develop, implement, and follow-up logistics category strategy, harmonizing with overall Valmet strategy and business requirements. Continuously identify internal and external needs and requirements with key stakeholders and suppliers. Streamline the freight tender to pay process. Support Supplier Relationship Management for the carriers. Seek supplier innovations and promote digitalization, logistics sustainability, process development and automation. Ensure contract compliance, and that stakeholders have correct data and agreed terms easily available in systems and tools. Support local business area operational in matrix. As part of this group, you identify and drive proactively development ideas and manage change in your responsible area. Support Indirect Procurement functions as required To succeed in this role, you will need: University or college degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or equivalent of a related field. 5+ years’ solid experience in supply chain, logistics industry, Finance or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong knowledge of North America end to end cycle of payments. Good stakeholder management capabilities to influence and operate in a matrix organization. Results driven work approach. Excellent communication skills. Computer skills (All Microsoft office – Intermediate level or higher) Ability to travel up to 5-10% occasionally for on-site events, training and meetings.
