Whereas the nature of supply teaching requires a timely deployment to work on short-notice, it is expected that those named to our supply list will live within ASD-W boundaries and a reasonable proximity to selected schools.
If applying from an address outside of ASD-W, please describe in your application how you would meet these expectations.
Local Permit Supply Teaching - French as a Second Language ONLY
Please note the following minimum requirements to apply:
-written and spoken competence in both English and French is required.
-completion of a 4-year undergraduate degree is required

ALL post-secondary education transcripts (College, university, etc.) - must show completion of a 4-year degree
French Oral Proficiency test results - results must show INTERMEDIATE PLUS OR HIGHER to qualify and must have been completed within the past 3 years.
Criminal Record Check including Vulnerable Sector Check - no more than 6 months old – see below:
If you live within the Fredericton City Limits:
The Fredericton City Police do their Criminal Record Checks and Vulnerable Sector Checks online. Please click on the following link Criminal Record Checks | City of Fredericton and request a Vulnerable Sector Check and it will include your Criminal Record Check.
If you are contacted by the Fredericton City Police to come in and you require a letter from District office, you will need to pick up an original signed letter from the Receptionist at the Office of the Superintendent/Fredericton Education Centre located at 1135 Prospect St, Fredericton, NB.
If you live outside the Fredericton City Limits:
You will need to pick up an original signed letter from the Receptionist at the Office of the Superintendent or from one of the Education Centres that you are required to take with you to the R.C.M.P. Please request a Vulnerable Sector Check and Criminal Record Check. You can pick up a copy of the letter from one of the Anglophone West School District offices:
