Job Overview:
GrizzlyTrek is currently seeking one Logging Buncher Operator to join our Valued Clients team in the Grande Prairie region. This is a temporary – full-time position, ideally suited to an individual committed to excellence and safety. This role focuses strictly on logging activities, including pipeline right-of-way clearing and general logging operations. There is no work involving gas facility operations.
Responsibilities:
Operate logging buncher equipment for right-of-way clearing and general logging activities.
Follow all safety, environmental, and production requirements while carrying out logging operations.
Perform routine inspections of equipment and complete minor adjustments to maintain safe and efficient operation.
Communicate effectively with field teams to support coordinated work activities.
Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and operational logs as required.
Identify and report maintenance concerns or equipment issues promptly.
Qualifications:
Minimum 1–2 years of experience operating logging bunchers or similar heavy forestry equipment.
Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of logging operations.
Valid Class 5 driver’s licence with a clean driver’s abstract.
Ability to work in remote, physically demanding outdoor environments.
Strong commitment to safety and adherence to operational procedures.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience with pipeline right-of-way clearing.
Certification in First Aid, H2S Alive, or other relevant safety training.
Experience working on rotational projects.
Work Environment:
Field-based work in variable weather conditions typical of forestry and right-of-way operations.
Operation of specialized logging equipment within an outdoor, safety-oriented work setting.
