Summary:
Job Description:
The employee reports directly to the Engineering Supervisor.
The following activities are to be performed in this Job Description/Classification:
Produce drawings on Solidworks 2021 or newer
Responsible for deviations and engineering change requests
Design, draft and dimension Unimotor replacement motors
Design, draft and dimension motor components
Review drawings of peers as required
Create bill of materials for costing and production in JDE
Create routings for new products in JDE
Responsible for build and coordination of customer sample requests
Interact with other departments within Unimotor and outside vendors
Application engineering for new products in existing product families
Perform tear down analysis on returns and test samples
Creation of test reports for new developments
Research new technologies as assigned
Engineering support to Canadian and Mexican production operations
Other activities related to the job
Core Competencies
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization
Demonstrated Product Engineering experience relevant to the position
Capable of successfully interacting with both internal and external customers
Minimum technologist diploma from an accredited college
Willing and capable to travel
Fluency in Spanish (both verbal and written) preferred.
