Position Overview
The Junior Logistics Coordinator provides entry-level support to the logistics and supply chain team by assisting with shipping coordination, documentation, inventory tracking, and communication with internal teams and external partners. This role also supports management with administrative and project-tracking tasks, similar to an Executive Assistant function, helping ensure logistics projects and daily operations stay on schedule.

Key Responsibilities
Shipping & Receiving Support
Assist with preparing and processing shipping documents such as packing lists, bills of lading, and basic customs paperwork.
Support coordination with carriers, freight forwarders, and internal warehouse teams.
Track shipments and update delivery statuses in internal systems.
Escalate delays or issues to senior logistics staff.
Inventory & Record Keeping
Assist with maintaining accurate records of inventory, shipments, and deliveries.
Enter and update information in logistics and inventory management systems.
Support periodic inventory checks and documentation audits.
Customer, Vendor & Internal Communication
Assist in responding to logistics-related inquiries from customers, vendors, and internal departments.
Provide basic shipment updates and follow up on outstanding documentation.
Help confirm order details and delivery schedules with vendors.
Operational & Project Coordination (Executive Assistant–Style Support)
Assist logistics managers with tracking projects, deadlines, and key milestones.
Maintain calendars, schedules, and follow-up lists related to logistics operations and projects.
Prepare basic reports, summaries, and status updates for management.
Organize digital files, shipping records, and project documentation.
Support meetings by preparing agendas, taking notes, and following up on action items.
Compliance & Documentation
Assist in reviewing shipping documents for completeness and accuracy.
Ensure records are properly filed and stored according to company and regulatory requirements.
Learn and follow basic customs, trade, and shipping regulations under supervision.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework or education in logistics, supply chain, business administration, or a related field is an asset.
0–2 years of experience in logistics, administration, warehouse, or office support (entry-level candidates welcome).
Basic proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with logistics or inventory software is a plus.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Clear written and verbal communication skills.
