About your next Challenge as a Software Test Team Lead:
You will lead, organize, and coordinate the activities of the software test and integration team across multiple concurrent projects.
What will you do:
Understand system and customer requirements in order to prepare, plan, and execute test strategies and test plans.
Coordinate integration and validation activities on the test site, ensuring smooth execution and alignment with project milestones.
Participate in iterative validation with customers through release candidates and support acceptance activities.
Supervise and optimize concurrent test campaigns across projects, ensuring deadlines and quality objectives are met.
Manage and maintain test environments, including support for software and hardware obsolescence.
Investigate and respond to customer requests, ensuring timely root cause analysis and resolution.
Support continuous improvement of test processes, tools, and methodologies.
Collaborate closely with project managers, developers, and system engineers to ensure integrated project delivery.
Required Skills and Experiences:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Software Engineering.
A degree in Software, Electrical, or Computer Engineering (or equivalent).
10+ years of experience in software development, testing, and/or integration, with proven leadership experience.
Strong organizational and planning skills to manage parallel activities across projects.
Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities combined with technical expertise.
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to work with customers and multidisciplinary teams.
Experience in software test planning, execution, and reporting.
Hands-on experience with integration testing and system validation in real or simulated environments.
Familiarity with test automation, CI/CD pipelines, and agile/DevOps methodologies (an asset).
Experience handling hardware/software obsolescence and supporting legacy systems.
Experience with agile methodology and using tools such as Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, etc.
Bilingualism (French and English) required. The knowledge of the English language, other than the French language is necessary due to contractual requirements.
Eligibility Criteria (Mandatory):
Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program;
Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada “Reliability” status and Level 2 (Secret) security clearance.
Must be eligible to meet the requirements for U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
