About the Role:
Global BC and Corus Radio Vancouver are seeking a highly organized, proactive Executive Assistant to support the News Director and Station Manager,
while also providing administrative support to the Director, Talk & Talent (730 CKNW) and the Program Director for our FM stations.
This role requires exceptional judgment, discretion, and the ability to manage a high volume of strategic and operational tasks in a fast-paced environment.
You will contribute by:
Executive Support & Administration
Provide executive-level administrative support to the News Director/Station Manager and Radio leadership.
Manage calendars, meetings, agendas, and follow-up actions.
Prepare correspondence, presentations, reports, and internal documentation.
Coordinate travel and manage monthly Visa expense submissions.
Support independent contractor processes, vendor setup, and related documentation.
Assist with strategic initiatives, special projects, and department communications.
Payroll, Timesheets & HR Administration
Process bi-weekly timesheets across News, Engineering, IT, and Radio operations.
Maintain timesheet records, PT hour and anniversary trackers, and distribute completed timesheets to staff.
Update Dayforce TAFW, process labour transfers, and provide balances for LOAs and exiting employees.
Support job postings, new hire packages, onboarding coordination, and HR liaison needs.
Maintain confidential employee files and sensitive information.
Office Operations & Coordination
Manage viewer contact emails, reception voicemail intake, and general administrative inquiries.
Handle incoming and outgoing mail and courier shipments.
Oversee office supply ordering and inventory management.
Manage access card issuance, deactivation, and tracking for both Global BC and Radio offices.
Coordinate weekly Talk Back meetings.
Oversee printer coordination, service requests, and supply monitoring.
Manage coffee and water service ordering and general supply needs.
Coordinate shredding services.
Skills and experience you will bring:
Post-secondary education in Radio, Broadcasting, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
Minimum 5 years of administrative or executive support experience, ideally in a high-volume environment.
Strong organizational skills with proven ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and discretion.
Experience with payroll or timesheet processing, or similar detailed administrative workflows.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and maintain strict confidentiality.
Strong problem-solving abilities and exceptional attention to detail.
Adaptability within an environment of shifting priorities and tight deadlines.
