Position Overview
The Junior Financial Data Analyst supports the Business Analytics team by triaging reporting requests, producing standard reports, and assisting with data-driven initiatives. This position ensures timely and accurate delivery of financial and operational information to internal stakeholders and supports system-related activities and projects.
Key Accountabilities
Serve as the primary contact for the Financial Reporting inbox by responding promptly to requests, evaluating their complexity, completing straightforward reports, or escalating more complex items to the appropriate Analyst.
Create and maintain standard reports using 3E or SQL scripts for legal professionals and administrative teams, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
Gather and validate data for Marketing & Business Development requests and external client reporting.
Assist with system setups and maintenance of records and fields.
Participate in system upgrades, implementations, and related training workshops.
Prepare data for Partner and Associate Review processes, supporting senior team members during review cycles.
Attend internal meetings and prepare presentation materials and agendas.
Provide back up support to Analysts with non- complex report generation, data validation, and troubleshooting
Assist in preparing dashboard solutions and paginated reports using BI tools to provide actionable insights.
Participate in projects and initiatives and required.
Attributes & Experience
Post-secondary degree or diploma in Data Analytics, Finance, Business, or related field.
1-2 years related experience, preferably in a law firm or professional services firm.
Proficient in MS Office product suite.
Strong proficiency in Excel is required. SQL experience considered an asset. Power BI and Report Builder experience considered an asset. Basic understanding of data concepts (ETL/ELT, data warehousing, row-level security, etc.) considered an asset.
Familiarity with financial metrics and reporting concepts.

Additional information
This position is part of our hybrid work model with 3 days in the office per week. As part of our onboarding, new hires are required to be in the office more often for the first few months of employment to ensure they receive the requisite cross training.
